Mastering the Dawes Redman® Antenatal Interpretation Tool:
Clinical Relevance and Real-World Application

Presented by Dr. Becky Liu

Tuesday, 7th July 2026 at 18:30-19:15 BST (UTC+1)

45 minutes
Interpreting FHR recordings remains one of the most complex and debated aspects of midwifery and obstetric care. Despite its widespread use, trace interpretation is often subjective, inconsistent, and prone to human error—leading to unnecessary interventions or missed signs of fetal compromise.

This 45min webinar is designed for clinicians, professionals involved in fetal monitoring. It explores the Dawes Redman interpretation tool, the Oxford University validated algorithm used to assess computerised traces in antenatal settings.
Participants will gain a clear understanding of:
  • In depth scientific foundation and clinical relevance of the Dawes Redman analysis.
  • How the algorithm works, use on the fetal monitor and key parameters it evaluates.
  • Interpreting algorithm outputs and integrating them into clinical decision-making.
  • Best practices for using the tool to enhance patient safety, reduce unnecessary interventions, and support evidence-based care.
  • Real-world case studies demonstrating the tool’s application in various clinical scenarios.
